Ms. Emily

BOARD CERTIFIED AND LICENSED MASTER’S LEVEL OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST

Ms. Emily St. Pierre is a passionate and empathetic Occupational Therapist at Bright Start Therapy. A Maine native, Emily earned both her Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration and Public Health and her Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from Husson University in Bangor. Her academic foundation is matched by a deeply personal connection to her profession: Emily was born with one hand and received occupational therapy throughout her childhood. These early experiences not only shaped her abilities and confidence but also inspired her lifelong mission to give back through the same field that helped her thrive.

Emily’s journey into occupational therapy was further cemented through her work as a volunteer and mentor at a summer camp for individuals with limb differences—a place that nurtured her skills and passion. There, she connected with occupational therapists who served as role models, and now she brings that same impact and inspiration into her own clinical practice.

At Bright Start Therapy, Ms. Emily is known for her warm presence, strong sense of empathy, and individualized, play-based approach. She thrives in the center’s welcoming and supportive environment, where she appreciates both the opportunity to collaborate with her colleagues and to provide one-on-one care tailored to each child’s unique needs. Emily believes deeply in meeting each child where they are and celebrates the “little wins” that mean so much—whether it’s tying a shoe, staying at the table longer, or simply watching a child’s face light up with pride.

Emily is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association, the Maine Occupational Therapy Association, and the Student Occupational Therapy Association, and is currently working under a temporary license as she completes the final steps toward full licensure.

Outside of her professional life, Ms. Emily enjoys spending time with family and friends, fishing, boating, going to the beach, traveling, and caring for her pets—including four cats, fish, and a gecko. Her vibrant spirit, lived experience, and deep commitment to helping others make her a powerful advocate and therapist for the children and families she serves.

We are proud to have Ms. Emily as part of the Bright Start Therapy team, where she is already making meaningful connections and lasting impacts on those around her.
