Ms. Laura
EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATOR

Ms. Laura is a passionate and nurturing Early Childhood Educator at Bright Start Childcare & Learning Center. With experience working with children from infancy through preschool age, she brings a unique blend of compassion, structure, and real-world care to the classroom. Whether supporting developmental milestones or comforting a child with a warm smile, Ms. Laura is deeply committed to helping every child feel safe, supported, and empowered.
Ms. Laura has worked in both educational and healthcare environments, gaining valuable insight into caregiving, communication, and emotional development. She holds educational training from the University of Maine at Augusta, where she studied Veterinary Technology and Mental Health & Psychology—giving her a strong foundation in human behavior, wellness, and empathy.
What inspired Ms. Laura to enter early childhood education was her deep love for watching children grow, explore, and learn. She shares, “Knowing I can be a part of that experience is extremely heartwarming—I can’t imagine not being a part of their growth.” Her favorite part about working at Bright Start is getting to know each child’s unique personality and being part of a team where support and collaboration are a true blessing.
Ms. Laura is also known for her leadership, organization, and strong work ethic. A former manager in previous roles, she believes in building a positive, communicative team culture and helps foster a classroom environment where children feel safe to learn and express themselves.
Outside of work, Ms. Laura enjoys spending time with family, being outdoors, and connecting with nature through kayaking, fishing, hunting, photography, and painting. A fun fact many don’t know about her: she practiced boxing and kickboxing throughout her twenties—a testament to her strength, resilience, and determination.
We are so proud to have Ms. Laura as part of the Bright Start family. Her caring heart, dedication to child development, and commitment to teamwork make her an invaluable member of our community.
